“Damn, I wish I could be there, but I have to perform elsewhere. But if you’re at Sonic Acts this year, you’re lucky. The first Sonic Acts I attended, a few years ago, had a mayor impact on my musical development. Performances of especially BJ Nilsen and Mimeo were events to never forget. Anyways, for the upcoming edition there’s a fantastic line up, again. A few things that I would defenitly be attending if i could: Deep Spaces with Keith Rowe, with the fantastic Streifenjunko (a duo who made the best album of 2009). This should be super exciting! Highly abstract, but playful electro-acoustic improvisation…. Also in this program: Makino Takashi & Jim O’Rourke’s “Still in Cosmos” film. Saw this at IFFR 2010… totally mindblowing. BJ Nilsen is here again. And a whole bunch of other extremely interesting sound artists. These four hours could transport you to various worlds beyond imagination.”
